THE MARIST JOURNEY
The Marist journey is a path of discovery, community, and service. It invites each person to grow in faith, discern their vocation, and experience the joy of living for others. Through each stage, you will encounter formation, prayer, study, and mission, helping you respond freely and fully to God’s call.

ASPIRANCY
The journey begins in the aspirancy, a time to quietly listen and discern God’s voice. It is a simple yet profound stage where you begin to grow in your Christian life and reflect on your personal story. Through prayer, guidance, and honest self-discovery, the seed of your vocation starts to take root. This is the moment to recognize God’s gentle invitation and to open your heart to the adventure He is preparing for you.

POSTULANCY
In the postulancy, the call of God becomes clearer. You are invited to go deeper into discernment through prayer, study, and community life. Philosophy helps you to think more deeply, while daily practices of faith draw you closer to the Lord. In this stage, you begin to share your life more fully with others, grow in the sacraments, and experience the joy of serving in pastoral work. You also discover the rich history of the Society of Mary and begin to feel part of something greater than yourself.

NOVITIATE
The novitiate is a sacred time, a space to taste the goodness of God in a more personal and intense way. It is the heart of formation, where you deepen your life of prayer, explore the beauty of the Marist charism, and learn to live the evangelical counsels. Through silence, Scripture, and community, you are invited to encounter the Lord more intimately and to allow Him to shape your heart. It is a journey of growth, discovery, and surrender, culminating in the gift of religious profession.

SCHOLASTICATE
In the scholasticate, your vocation continues to blossom. You dedicate yourself to theological studies, preparing your mind and heart to serve God’s people. Your life of prayer becomes more solid and personal, rooted in community and mission. This stage invites you to embrace your gifts and talents, to live intercultural encounters, and to expand your vision of the Church and the world. Above all, it is a time to strengthen your friendship with the Lord and to let The Holy Spirit guide you into the mission entrusted to you.

MISSION
Mission is the natural fruit of the journey. Having been formed in prayer, community, and study, you are now sent to share Christ’s love with the world. This stage is not only about what you do, but about who you become: a joyful witness of the Gospel, a servant in the footsteps of Mary, and a brother to all. In mission, your life bears fruit—nourishing others, inspiring new vocations, and reminding the world that God’s presence is alive and active through your service.
